Yoga with Randi

Yoga is a way of life.  It’s the way we eat, breath, think, and respond to life’s circumstances. Yoga defined means 'union' or 'connection'.  The practice of yoga brings a deeper awareness of the connection of mind, body and spirit.  Through daily asanas or yoga poses, one can restore balance and harmony in the physical body, emotional body and spiritual self.  Yoga asanas help in building strength and vitality in the physical body, keep our ligaments and joints strong, bring awareness to the emotional body, and peace to the spirit within.  In 2012, Randi ventured to India to attend the Himalayan Yoga Institute located in the foot hills of the Himalayan Mountains.  Trained in Raja Dhiraja, the most complete, scientific and systematic process for development of the body, mind and spirit.  Raja Dhiraja includes yoga asanas, mudras and bandhas, along with deep relaxation, self-massage and specific meditation lessons.  Asanas, or yoga postures help increase body flexibility, tone muscles and improve posture and alignment.   Asanas also have a profound impact on the body's endocrine glands, bringing balance to hormonal secretions, as well as restoration to psychic and emotional well-being. Randi teaches proper positioning within each asana, proper breathing and awareness of each breath, and the ability to create a natural flow of movement within and throughout the body.  Each asana applies pressure on different glands and internal organs, helping to restore internal balance.  Raja Rhiraja Yoga not only develops strength and flexibility in the body, it also helps in achieving a general sense of well-being.

Private Yoga Classes

Inviting your body to the mat for a private yoga session is a great way to get a practice that is more specialized for what your body needs.  Working with an instructor one on one allows you to hone in on specific goals and intentions, helps in nurturing the recovery of an injurie, old or new.  Or perhaps, your practice is ready for the next level and you wish to practice a more challenging pose in a safe and inspiring environment.  Personalized sequences can be learned to take home and practice on your own time.  What ever it is, private yoga sessions are a fun and great way to turn in, and nourish the body, mind and spirit.

Guided Meditation

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. It was originally developed to help gain a deeper understanding for the sacred and mystical forces in life. These days, meditation is commonly used for relaxation and stress reduction.  Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. Meditation produces a deep state of relaxation and gives one a tranquil mind. During meditation, your attention is  focused on your breath and eliminating the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind, causing stress. Through this technique, ones physical and emotional well-being are enhanced, while also bringing nourishment to the body through each aware breath.  Meditation can give you a sense of balance, calmness and peace that benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. The benefits of meditation stay with you through the day, allowing yourself to carry on more calmly through out the day.
